Cadeaux

Pile Every time I come back from a trip, it's very polite to have inexpensive gifts for all my friends.

I was driving out of Ouagadougou, with just enough time to get home before dark, when I realized that I hadn't bought any gifts.  Oh no!  Catastrophe!

Then I drove past this pile of watermelons.  Watermelons here rock.  They have so much more flavor than the ones in the States.

So, I filled all the empty spaces in the back of my truck and brought watermelons back to mmmBELLYmay land.  They were a big hit.

  1. Sorry – after Scruffy’s tummy tuck, a photo of two women holding melons is enough to make a smile cross my face, and I have resisted and resisted the temptation to say, “nice melons!”, but tonight I gave in to the temptation. It just made me smile, and anything that can make me smile today is good.
    So…
    Nice melons!
